Makeover Room with sleep in mind: Part 2 -
Last week, we shared our last design: A makeover of the room a little girl for the specific purpose of help her sleep in his bed. The metamorphosis, focusing on a few of our favorite sleep tips, was presented on the day of speeches show Doctors and product features available from Rosenberry Rooms. Today we share our top tips for using great design to help a child sleep in his own room
Window treatments :. From nursery to the room for older children, we always recommend two types of window treatments-a muting solution and filtering solution from light. During naps, light filtering curtains will help you to control the temperature and keep a child from becoming accustomed to sleeping in total darkness. However, using blackout curtains at night will allow parents to keep consistent hours of sleep, despite the weather changes that allow late evening and / or morning light in the room
Sound Control :. The sound environment in the room of a child is very important. We strongly recommend a simple white noise machine for all children to spaces (we used a large version Munchkin in this project). This will put a consistent basis, and to provide a barrier for other sounds (or lack of noise) in the rest of the house.

lighting: All spaces children can benefit from two simple lighting solutions a dimmer, allowing ceiling lower in the period before bedtime to "set the mood," and a small light on a timer. the timer must turn off the light before bed and turn on when it is acceptable to get up in the morning. This will put a clear visual signal for a child. if they wake up in the middle of the night or too early in the morning, the state of their light immediately tell them whether or not they can get up
is appropriating :. While a nursery is generally regarded as a space for parents to enjoy, there comes a time when a child is ready to have a space of their own. the transition usually occurs so natural somewhere between two and four years. When your child is ready for a large child's room, be sure to fill it with things they like that are age appropriate. Remember that, as they grow and become more independent, they should have a space that reflects this.

colors calming: Although many children develop in rooms all color palettes, if you have a child who has difficulty sleeping in their own room, consider a soothing palette of bright colors. Stimulation of bright colors can be too much for your little one.

floor plan: Whenever possible, especially if your child has difficulty sleeping in their own bed, create a floor plan that emphasizes the bed. If the piece focuses on game stuff or study areas, the child can easily associate the space with these activities, rather than the important activity of sleep all night
Scary Factor :. Lots of things that seem normal adults may seem scary for little ones, and these things should be removed or at least discussed. Imagine branches on the trees outside the window, a harmless hat hanging on a wall hook or a shade from the corridor-the simplest things can look like monsters, especially in the middle of the night.

Try It Out: the best thing we can offer is to try the room for yourself. We recommend that all parents try their child's bed and not just to sit for a minute or two. really snuggle into it. Is the mattress comfortable? the leaves are soft? How pillows feel? How is the temperature? And do not forget, how the bed smell? An excellent starting point for any comfortable bed is a flexible set of organic sheets. Finally, make sure that there are extra blankets and pillows on hand to take into account the temperature changes or comfort your child in the middle of the night.
