Tell us about your design process. Did you start with a central element or an idea that served as your inspiration?
The dresser, glider and wall color of any postponement of the nursery my son. I really wanted to keep the main components of gender neutral furniture. The first thing I did bring some girliness the decor was to add silver star stickers. I decided to stay with gray and silver tones, but stopped the color palette to be too serious incorporating soft pink accessories, knitted dolls and toys. Since the dresser is so dark and the room is quite small, it was logical to go with, maple sofa unfinished light color for Olivia beds to brighten up the space a little. The horrible beige carpet remains, but the beautiful scalloped mats The Land of Nod draws attention away from him and pulls the room together

What was the most important thing that you wanted to achieve when creating this space?
I wanted a space that was beautiful and included a feminine touch without being cloying. But above all, I wanted a room Olivia to be secure and free of adhesives and harmful chemicals that are often found in furniture and children's toys. We were a little scared on its balance sheet a year when she had a false positive on the main screen. It is what has made every movement, really. It sparked my interest in creating baby shoes free of chemicals, and it got me thinking more seriously about toxins in our everyday lives

Now that accent walls have dried and the bedding is carefully hidden, what is your favorite thing in the room?
I love Kalon sofa bed Olivia. It is a handmade work of art, made from the purest sustainable materials. It is so rare for a crib to convert elegantly. Once it exceeds it, we pass on to my sister to convert it into a cradle

Have you unexpected obstacles during the creation of this piece? How did you overcome or turn to your advantage?
The room is too small even for a double size. There is one corner, we could have used, but it would have meant to cover the damper. Every other wall is too short or a door opening. So I had to think really hard about buying a crib when we were not sure if we had more children. But it is my favorite part of the room, and it will get used again after Olivia exceeds the (hopefully we've been there).
What do you like most about the design process?
I liked to support other handmade and independent stores. I got to incorporate elements in the room Olivia brand I have long admired from afar. And I really liked the design for a little girl it's so much fun

If you were to remove a key to the room, what would you separate? If you could add another element to the room, what would be your first choice?
The convenient, for sure. I think the need for changing station in the nursery is overstated. I always changed my children on a changing mat on the floor. I prefer to have room for a tablet now that we have such an extensive collection of books. If you go with a convenient, I will seek one with drawers only (at least 10 "deep) and not bother with one that cabinet doors.

Do you have any words of advice for other designers and parents
buy again. Try to buy furniture that will grow with your child. Every time I compromised on quality, I regret it. My advice is, if you can buy something that is practical and solidly built, but more expensive, it might be better than buying questionable quality furniture for every stage of growth. I would also avoid falling into the trap of buying every piece of furniture carry a line design do not be afraid to mix and match.
