People always ask me what my favorite rooms are designing. I must say: for children, toddlers hands down. Why? Well, it's a big transition for a child to move from a crib to their great crib. They have such a sense of independence and confidence when you can finally say "this is your big girl room."
One of my recent projects was for a little girl whose parents have a modern European style. They wanted their daughter to have a nursery downstairs sophisticated age it could become, but one that was still feminine and playful. main demands of the little girl were she wanted pink, purple and ballerinas. Our design successfully combined the girl's wishes and parents.
The room was basically a blank slate when we started, except that the parents had an upholstered bed in their room they wanted to use-not bad to begin with a bed B & B Italia! From there, we chose the fabric for window treatments, then everything else just fell in place perfectly.
