After two years with a nursery baby pink Lacey has now decided to give him the baby room a chic last day. Lacey fearless use of bold patterns and bright colors should be applauded. I love the fuchsia headboard retro and vintage pink lantern. Mix some Palm Beach with a touch of eclectic charm and you have this modern, elegant room for two year old daughter Lacey Charlie. Here's how she did it:
PN: What was your inspiration for the room
Lacey When my daughter was born, I knew I wanted her to have a pink room, when she had two years I was sick of looking all pink and decided to give her room a makeover. She loves flowers and butterflies so I decided that I would use as a jumping off point and I knew I wanted to always keep a little pink because it had become his favorite color. I also knew I wanted to integrate some of its existing furniture to reduce costs
PN:.? What best describes your decorating style
Lacey I would describe my style as colorful decoration chic. I prefer to use a lot of color while keeping good taste and chic. Shabby chic is exactly the opposite of what I want
PN :. Can you share with us one of the paint colors, furniture, DIY tips, artwork, etc. you used when creating the room
Lacey the color of chocolate on the wall is by Benjamin Moore, it is called mocha brown. The canvas with the circus ballerina was painted by a woman who painted flowers on the wall, his name is Tasha Loudon and his website is called www.artbytasha.com . It is based in San Diego, but led to my house in Los Angeles. The letters are zinc, they came in a silver color, but I spray painted to match the room. I took them up to Anthropology. The paper mache green snail came from them too. The Birdcage Light luminaire is vintage, I found it online and painted pink. The glider I custom made myself to Beach Bungalow Designs in San Diego, and the pillows on the bed and padded faux croc head edge. Tritia, the owner, made all the bedding for my children nurseries, and it is amazing. The duvet cover is from Pottery Barn Kids and curtains I used doing here in Los Angeles.
PN: What is your favorite item (s) in the room
Lacey There is a tie my favorite item in the room. One is the fake crocodile head panel and the other is the light of the bird cage.
