Blogging is such a blast! As we continue to grow Nursery project, we meet so many great people along the way. (By the way, have you checked out our new and improved website?). One of these people really happens to be Beth Powell Bibzees. Now Beth knows style. Just check out its eco-design, smart baby and toddler. Beth's love of design recently rubbed off on his daughter Olivia, a budding fashionista and today we take a tour of his great waitress ...
What was your inspiration for the room?
My passion is fashion and having the chance to attend Fashion Week last September (DVF and Tracy Reese !!!), I returned ready to decorate accordingly!
What best describes your decorating style?
I would describe the room my daughter as high Glam, but the rest of my house has a contemporary / urban look.
Share with us the choice of paint colors, furniture, art, craft tips, etc.
I used a lot of what we already had as a white breast, but I changed the glam white buttons with some crystal buttons that I find at Home Depot. The chandelier was also a great trip over to Home Depot well. I found the crystal lamp products at home and thought it worked well with the new buttons. Since the only thing my daughter insisted on was the purple color I chose a shade that reminded me of ice cream with black raspberry Sherwin-Williams. It is called, "Obi Lilas". The library we had already and is simply a loan to assemble find the old Target. I liked the glow of bedding and tried to find something that would fit the theme and came across this set at TJ Maxx! He worked well with the chandelier and picture frames too!
For illustration, I had the luck of these beautiful fashion sketches all browsing the shops at Etsy! Autumn Russell was one of my favorite Etsy shops and my daughter and I had a great selection of our favorite sketches! The sticker of the street lamp was also an Etsy find Decorette. The decal letters were also fun to order by Upper Case Living where you can choose your own font, size and color. You can check Upper Case Living my friend's site: http://palmer.uppercaseliving.net/Home.m. The stickers are easy to apply and everyone keeps asking who painted for me!
What is your favorite item (s) in the room?
My favorite items are definitely the sketch Autumn Russell. I like to have a special unique pieces!
And whatever you'd like to share?
The only part of the room that I'm unhappy about is the bed, it is a little higher than Glam House, but he will remain for now ... .. If someone stumbles across a large glamorous bed (must be a queen and pure white!) please send me the link
NB :! Ok readers! Beth Send your suggestions. Meanwhile Little Apple design envisages a pretty white fabric headboard with dark purple border. In fact, we recommend using the existing headboard, add batting and then staple the fabric for a DIY project. And while we are talking of bed every fashionista needs a pile of pillows. How about incorporating some bold printed damask and monogram for extra glam?
Thank you Beth for not only take the time to share, but also to provide readers nursery project 15% off BIBZEES using code "PROJECTNURSERY" .
