Carmen Raynor Retro Rooms has done it again! On Monday, we presented her son's bedroom and today Vintage Cowboy Jack we take a peak inside the bedroom daughter Lola Carmen! With a little innovation and a great love for the paper dolls Carmen has created a beautiful room for three years Lola. I do not know if it is the old fashion paper dolls, cute pom accents or the glamor of silver coat that really set this room apart, but I can see why the chamber Lola makes her happy mom. Here are all the details on how Carmen has brought his design to life.
What was the inspiration for the room?
I grew up playing with paper dolls and have always loved. When I saw the doll tissue paper I fell in love with it and found it on eBay in the United States because it was interrupted. I used the fabric for a quilt cover and matching cushion covers. I then gathered the pieces to match; cushions, throws and curtains. Once I started looking I came across things in the right shade of blue in all sorts of places. I had the custom wall feature color mixed to match the blue in the dress of the girl in the tissue. I also found that I had two other minor themes running in the rooms: pom poms and peas. The pompoms are presented on the cushions and hanging in front of the curtains. Peas are on the border of the quilt cover and various cushions. I found old paper dolls in perfect condition on eBay and turned them into wall art. I also collected small images that were associated paper doll and display them on the mantelpiece, which was painted in silver. An art deco hanging mirror over the fireplace and a string of fairy light pink hanging at the ceiling. The floor is covered with carpet sheepskin and a red chandelier hangs from the ceiling .

The color of the main wall is Dulux Off White. The blue feature wall is painted in a custom color blend of satin duchesse range of Porters Paints and the fireplace is painted Oyster satin duchess. Wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table and sheepskin rugs are of Ikea and images are vintage and source on eBay. The chandelier was purchased from Light Up Willoughby . The President was found in a second hand store. The fabric used for the duvet cover is Alexander Henry Sage Glen collection Paper Doll.

I like the curtains pom pom, the work made from the original paper dolls and the duvet cover. In fact, I love all that room, it makes me happy!
Anything you can share?
The rooms of my children inspired me to make an interior design course and set up my own business designing children's rooms. It's still early but I love so much. I hope your readers like Lola's room as much as I do.
