You may remember DIY beds for this room when I shared some pictures unfinished shared room of my boys. I managed to get far enough in the process while pregnant with # 3, then all the design came to a halt. Now I am finally decided things needed to happen, and with the help of my friends at Cutting Edge Stencils, I find the exact detail wall I had it Houndstooth Allover Stencil wall.
This is what the wall looked like before I started. I painted white before starting the stencil.
The instructions provided with the stencil were super easy to follow. I took a footwall zone to start and Frog used tape to hold the stencil in place. I highly recommend getting the level-stencil clip-on makes the process much easier!
This is what progress looks like. Fun right?
When making the stencil, you may notice a few areas that have slight imperfections in the paint bleeding under the stencil, but I promise you, once the wall is complete, you will not even notice these areas. I waited until the wall was finished before me retouching.
And here is the finished wall.
This was just the fabulousness I had to fill the space. Oh, I'm sure I'll do some tinkering with pillows and accessories, but the painted detail houndstooth wall is an incredible addition and the boys love it!
